The Conjunction is formed when two planets are approximately 0° apart. It is a Neutral Major aspect.

A conjunction occurs when two planets occupy the same degree of the zodiac, blending their energies into a powerful unified force. This is the most intense aspect, amplifying both planets' qualities.

Unless this conjunction of the Sun and Moon occurs in different signs, you have a “double dose” of the same sign, and that sign assumes considerable importance in your chart. This position also means that you were born around the time of a New Moon. Whether you were born before or after the New Moon is significant, too. A Sun-Moon conjunction can behave somewhat like an Aries personality, even if the alignment doesn't occur in Aries.
