This Privacy Policy explains how AstroMya (astromya.com) collects, uses, and protects your personal information. By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you are under 16, you may only use the Service with parental consent.

1. What We Collect

  • Email address — for registration, authentication, and transactional notifications (password reset, subscription reminders).
  • Date of birth, time, and location — used exclusively for astrological calculations (natal charts, transits, synastry, solar returns, progressions). Not used for identification, marketing, or advertising.
  • Anonymous usage data — page views, device type, and browser via server logs. No cookies or personal identifiers are used for analytics.

We do not collect biometric data, precise geolocation, social media profiles, or any data beyond what is listed above. We do not store payment card details — all payments are processed directly by the payment provider.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Providing astrological calculation services (natal charts, transits, synastry, compatibility)
  • Managing your account and subscription
  • Saving your charts and profiles in your account
  • Sending transactional emails (password reset, subscription expiry reminders)
  • Improving the Service based on aggregated, anonymous analytics

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.

3. Cookies

We use only essential cookies to maintain your authentication session. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics that set cookies.

4. Third-Party Services

We share a minimal amount of data with the following services, strictly as needed:

  • Google OAuth — receives your name and email for social login authentication.
  • Lava.top — payment processing. We do not store card details; all payment information is processed directly by the provider.
  • SMTP provider — receives your email address to deliver transactional messages.

We may also disclose data if required by law or court order.

5. Data Security and Retention

We protect your data with industry-standard measures:

  • Passwords hashed with bcrypt (never stored in plain text)
  • All connections encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
  • Database access restricted to internal network
  • JWT-based authentication with expiration

We retain your data for as long as you have an active account. If inactive for 24 months, we may delete your data. You can request deletion at any time.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data and request a copy
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Delete your data (right to be forgotten)
  • Withdraw consent at any time
